"Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes" released its first trailer Thursday, featuring Kaya Scodelario of "Skins" and Jessica Biel.

Scodelario plays Emanuel, a troubled young woman who grew up without a mother. Linda, played by Biel, moves in next door and bears a striking resemblance to Emanuel's deceased mother. When Emanuel offers to babysit Linda's newborn, she is thrown into a fictional world where obsession, fantasy and reality are blurred.

Written, directed, and co-produced by Francesca Gregorini, "Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes" debuted at the Sundance Film Festival where it was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize. The film was also shown at the Ashland Independent Film Festival in April this year. No theatrical release date has yet been announced.

With a haunting piano score from composer Nathan Larson, the harrowing trailer shows an intense montage of a hospital, screams, Biel being dragged away, and finally a shot of Biel and Scodelario laying calmly on the ground, looking up.
