WENNShe's become a pro at stealing the show at high profile events ever since battling it out on the red carpet with Jessica Biel during the promotional tour of Total Recall, and Kate Beckinsale didn't go about last night coyly as she dazzled in an unusual number.
The 39-year-old Underworld star wowed onlookers when she stepped out in a pastel blue sequin gown that could have been from an 80s prom night, and if you squint a bit, looks a little like acid wash denim.
Kate made sure all eyes were on her when she attended the Porsche Design's 40th Anniversary Event held at a private residence in LA, and despite there not being much competition, the actress, who is so used to hogging the limelight from Jessica Biel, found that old habits die hard.
The British born beauty, who is married to film director Len Wiseman, teamed the glitzy disco ball frock with cream sequin pointed heels and a matching clutch bag, keeping accessories to a bare minimum to avoid adding any more embellishments to the already risky dress, (which reminds us a little bit of painted bubble wrap if you take a closer look).

Beckinsale, who has a daughter called Lily Mo Sheen, stole the spotlight from Jessica Biel at the first premiere of Total Recall in a garish crocodile skin dress, which could also be percieved as a bit dodgy, but this number has really got us baffled.
