Theyve been battling it out in the style stakes ever since attending an array of events to promote their new film Total Recall, and last night Kate Beckinsale appeared to be going for the shock factor in a bid to outdo fashion rival Jessica Biel at the Hollywood premiere of the movie.

39-year-old Kate overshadowed Jessicas elegant powder pink prom dress in a dramatic crocodile skin gown, which not only oozed sex appeal, but made sure all eyes were on her.

The unique fishtail cut dress featured deep green and black hues across one shoulder, and Kate clearly knew shed outdone Jessica in the silent red carpet battle as she cuddled up to her film director hubby Len Wiseman with a big grin across her face.

And Kate continued the sexy theme of the outfit by wearing her hair in a tousled loose bun, with textured tendrils falling around her face. Her make-up was fresh and dewy, complete with a subtle smokey eye and nude lip gloss.

Meanwhile, crocodile dresses aside, Justin Timberlakes fianc Jessica Biel also looked stunning in her pretty pastel pink strapless gown featuring pockets to add a nonchalant vibe, which she teamed with an on-trend pair of cream and metallic toe cap heels and lots of lavish statement jewellery.

The 30-year-old actress wore a more natural make-up look than Kate, donning a semi-matte make-up base with neutral eyes and lips, wearing her hair in a slick straight style with a very Autumn/Winter 2012 side parting (yes, its made a comeback!) and a stunning pair of diamond drop earrings.

Colin Farrell, who plays the lead in the film, also looked dashing in a suave charcoal suit which he paired with a burgundy tie, as he posed at the premiere with his sister.
