Gerard Butler Calls Jessica Biel 'The One That Got Away'?
WENNActor Gerard Butler may be infamous for his womanising ways, but a source says that he thinks of one-time flame Jessica Biel as "The one that got away."
The 42-year-old actor briefly dated Biel last summer, when she was on a break from her now husband Justin Timberlake and he is said to regret that he did not make more effort with the budding relationship.
Speaking to RadarOnline, a source said, "Gerard doesn't have many regrets but not treating Jessica with the respect she deserved when they dated is one of them."
The source continued to say, "Jessica liked Gerard a lot, she was into his boyish nature, but she wanted something serious. She was ready to settle down. That's why after getting close on the set of 'Playing For Keeps' back in 2011, their relationship soon fizzled out."
However, it's a different story for newlywed Jessica, who is thoroughly enjoying married life. Speaking about her brief split with Justin, in which she dated Gerard, she said: "I needed to be alone for a while."
The beautiful actress then went on to explain that she needed time out to reassess the relationship and that it ensured that she made an emotional and educated decision the future of their relationship.
