Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake Honeymoon in Africa - Other Stars Who Vacay on the Continent

Justin Timberlake

You might have assumed the luxe Italian wedding was enough of a celebration for Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel. Well, you're wrong: The pair took in a luxe African vacation just days after saying 'I do.' According to reports, the pair landed in the private reserve of Singita Grumeti in Serengeti Park.

The pair took in all the sights and sounds during their exotic vacation, including a hot air balloon ride and a private lodge at Faru-Faru in Serengeti Park.

It's not all fun and games, though: Biel and Timberlake are reportedly back on United States soil so the 31-year-old actress can promote her new movie "Hitchcock" later this month.

Shakira

Colombian singer Shakira is known for being a bit exotic, so we're not surprised she opted for an exotic South African vacation for her birthday earlier this year. The expectant mother didn't have a perfect vacation, though: She was attacked by a wayward sea lion!

"Suddenly, one of them jumped out of the water so fast and impetuously that it got about one foot away from me, looked me in the eye, roared in fury and tried to bite me," she wrote of the incident on Facebook. Luckily, her brother stepped in to help.

"I was paralyzed by fear and couldn't move, I just kept eye contact with it while my brother 'Super Tony' jumped over me and literally saved my life, taking me away from the beast."

Prince William and Kate Middleton

Prince William choose to purpose to his wife of one year, Kate Middleton, while they vacationed in Africa in late 2010.

"It just felt really right out in Africa," he told reporters of opting for a Kenyan proposal. "I had done a bit of planning to show my romantic side."

The Duchess of Cambridge approved of the out-of-the-ordinary proposal.

"So romantic," she said in 2011.

Oprah Winfrey

It's no secret that Oprah Winfrey loves South Africa: She created a school for girls in the country, after all. Despite scandal, the school graduated its first class earlier this year. The young women in the graduating class are going to colleges and universities throughout Europe.

"What I hope is that they will be able to sit at the table where the future of the world is decided. That they are open to the greatest, grandest possibility that their life has to offer," she said in October of her hopes for their futures. "That they fulfill the meaning of their own creation, that they get to live out the highest expression of themselves - all of that is the open door that our school provides."

Have you traveled to Africa? Where did you go?
