Jessica Biel has been discussing her role as Vera Miles in Sacha Gervasis Hitchcock biopic, revealing her admiration for the actress and also talking about the comparisons between modern Hollywood and the movie industry of the 60s.

I dont know if I could have made it back then, Biel told The Playlist.I feel like back then, you had to be a triple threat acting, singing, dancing. And you had to go through all these changes in your appearance to be who they wanted you to look like.

And the rehearsal process used to be so much bigger, added Biel. Even when I first started out, you could rehearse for two weeks, three weeks, a month, and we dont do that anymore. Now, youre on your own, in your room, crossing your fingers, hoping youre going to get it right.

Continuing her comparison to the modern movie making ordeal, Biel added, The funny thing about movies is the second you wrap, thats when you go, Now I get it. Now I understand who this person is. Now I know.

Its been well documented that Hitchcock cited Miles as his muse and had an unhealthy o! bsession with the actress. When Miles dropped out of Vertigodue to her pregnancy, the rotunded director took it as a personal offence.

Hitchcock is now in theaters across the United States and focuses on the relationship between Alfred and his wife, Alma Reville played by Helen Mirren, during the shooting of Psycho.Have you seen the film? What did you think of Biels performance?
