Gerard Butler Upset Over Jessica Biel Marriage? 'She Was The One That Got Away'

Gerard Butlers new movie 'Playing for Keeps' released this month is set to stir up some sour feeling for the Hollywood Hunk. While filming with his co-star Jessica Biel, the pair enjoyed a summer romance, referring to the beaut as the one that got away.

The couple reportedly dated in 2011, while she was split from now husband Justin Timberlake, with the actor falling head over heels for his co-star.

A source speaking to Radar-onlinesaid: 'He genuinely believes she was the one that got away, Jessica liked Gerard a lot, she was into his boyish nature, but she wanted something more serious. She was ready to settle down."

After making a decision back then that he now seriously regrets, the source added that Butler was scared off by Jessica wanting something more serious at the time and he bolted.

Jessica later got back with her now-husband Justin Timberlake and married in a lavish Italy ceremony back in October.

"Gerard doesnt have many regrets but not treating Jessica with the respect she deserved while they dated is one of them, he is happy for his newly married ex however as he knows that Justin Timberlake the love of her life," the source added.

"Thats why after getting close on the set of Playing for Keeps back in 2011, their relationship soon fizzled out."

Biel and Timberlake split briefly over the summer because they needed some time apart before deciding to spend the rest of their lives together.

Jessica Biel told Hello! Magazine: I needed to be alone for a while. It gives you a lot of strength, a lot of confidence, too, because it means you know that any decision you make is an educated one, not just an emotional one.

"You make your o! wn choice about whether to step back into a relationship or whether to go in a different direction.

Gerard has been linked to a whole host of celeb-land ladies including Jennifer Aniston, Naomi Campbell and Brandi Glanville.
